In 1959, Sierracin/Sylmar Corporation invented the first composite windshield, launching a new era of stronger, lighter weight transparencies. Since then, we have maintained our leadership by providing windshields, windows and canopies that meet all requirements for high performance aircraft. We manufacture these systems at our modern 300,000 square foot facility in Sylmar, California. Sierracin/Sylmar transparencies are a structural part of the aircraft and provide protection from a range of environmental threats, including ice and bird impact. All transparencies are tested and certified to comply with FAA/JAA regulations
